Modinagar Drain Dispute : गाजियाबाद के मोदीनगर क्षेत्र में हापुड़ रोड भोजपुर से औरंगाबाद फजलगढ़ मार्ग पर प्रस्तावित नाला निर्माण को लेकर विवाद लगातार गहराता जा रहा है। एक तरफ फजलगढ़ गांव के ग्रामीण सती माता मंदिर के पास नाला निर्माण का विरोध कर रहे हैं, वहीं दूसरी ओर भोजपुर गांव के लोग जलभराव की समस्या को लेकर जल्द निर्माण पूरा कराने की मांग कर रहे हैं। दोनों पक्षों के बीच बढ़ते विवाद के चलते इलाके में तनाव का माहौल बना हुआ है।
फजलगढ़ के ग्रामीण बोले- धार्मिक स्थल के पास नाला नहीं बनने देंगे
फजलगढ़ के ग्रामीणों ने सती माता मंदिर परिसर में एकत्र होकर पीडब्ल्यूडी के प्रस्तावित नाला निर्माण के खिलाफ प्रदर्शन किया। ग्रामीणों का आरोप है कि पहले भी शक्ति माता धर्मस्थली के पास बिना अनुमति के नाला बनाया गया था और अब उसी नाले को आगे बढ़ाकर मंदिर के पास से निकालने की तैयारी की जा रही है। लोगों का कहना है कि इससे धार्मिक भावनाएं आहत होंगी और गांव में तनाव बढ़ सकता है। ग्रामीणों ने चेतावनी दी है कि यदि जबरन निर्माण कराया गया तो बड़ा आंदोलन किया जाएगा।
भोजपुर के लोगों का दावा- नाला नहीं बना तो गांव में फैल जाएगी गंदगी
वहीं भोजपुर गांव के लोगों का कहना है कि गांव में लंबे समय से जलभराव की गंभीर समस्या बनी हुई है। ग्रामीणों के अनुसार, गांव का गंदा पानी निकलने का रास्ता अधूरा होने के कारण गलियों, रास्तों और यहां तक कि श्मशान घाट तक में पानी भर रहा है। उनका दावा है कि जिला पंचायत द्वारा नाले का निर्माण पहले ही कराया जा चुका है और केवल सती माता मंदिर के पास पुलिया निर्माण बाकी है। भोजपुर पक्ष का कहना है कि यह सिर्फ पानी निकासी का मामला है, इसमें किसी प्रकार की गंदगी फैलाने या धार्मिक स्थल को नुकसान पहुंचाने की बात गलत तरीके से फैलाई जा रही है।
प्रशासन के सामने बड़ी चुनौती, दोनों पक्ष आमने-सामने
फजलगढ़ के लोग वैकल्पिक रास्ते से पानी निकासी की मांग कर रहे हैं, जबकि भोजपुर के ग्रामीण अधूरे नाले और पुलिया निर्माण को जल्द पूरा कराने की मांग पर अड़े हुए हैं। प्रशासन के सामने अब धार्मिक भावनाओं और जल निकासी जैसी गंभीर समस्या के बीच संतुलन बनाने की चुनौती खड़ी हो गई है। फिलहाल दोनों गांवों के लोग अपने-अपने पक्ष पर डटे हुए हैं और क्षेत्र में माहौल तनावपूर्ण बना हुआ है।

On one side, villagers from Fazalgarh are protesting against the construction of a drain near the Sati Mata Temple, while residents of Bhojpur village are demanding that the incomplete drainage work be finished quickly to solve severe waterlogging problems. The growing disagreement between both sides has created tension in the area.
Fazalgarh Villagers Oppose Drain Near Religious Site
Villagers of Fazalgarh gathered at the Sati Mata Temple premises and protested against the proposed drain construction by the PWD department. They alleged that earlier a drain was constructed near the Shakti Mata religious site without proper permission, and now authorities are preparing to extend the same drain near the temple area. According to the villagers, this could hurt religious sentiments and increase tension in the village. They warned that if the construction is carried out forcefully, a major protest movement will be launched.
Bhojpur Residents Say Waterlogging Is Creating Serious Problems
Meanwhile, residents of Bhojpur village claim that the village has been suffering from severe waterlogging for a long time. According to them, dirty water is accumulating in streets, roads, and even near the cremation ground because the drainage route remains incomplete. They said that the district panchayat has already completed most of the drain construction and only the crossing near the Sati Mata Temple is left unfinished. Bhojpur residents insist that the issue is only about proper water drainage and that claims about spreading dirt or harming the religious site are being exaggerated.
Administration Faces Tough Challenge as Both Sides Remain Firm
While Fazalgarh villagers are demanding an alternative drainage route, Bhojpur residents are insisting that the incomplete drain and culvert work should be completed immediately. The administration now faces the difficult challenge of balancing religious sentiments with the urgent need for proper drainage. At present, both villages remain firm on their stand, and tension in the area continues to rise.
