मोदीनगर, गाजियाबाद। मोदीनगर तहसील क्षेत्र के ग्राम औरंगाबाद दतेड़ी में कथित रूप से करीब 100 साल पुरानी श्मशान भूमि पर अवैध कब्जे का मामला सामने आया है। सोमवार को भारतीय किसान यूनियन (तेवतिया) के पदाधिकारियों और किसानों ने तहसील परिसर में प्रदर्शन कर प्रशासन से भूमि को कब्जामुक्त कराने की मांग की। किसानों ने इस संबंध में तहसीलदार को ज्ञापन भी सौंपा।
खसरा संख्या 450क की भूमि को बताया श्मशान भूमि
किसानों द्वारा सौंपे गए ज्ञापन के अनुसार, ग्राम औरंगाबाद दतेड़ी, तहसील मोदीनगर, जनपद गाजियाबाद स्थित खसरा संख्या 450क की 0.2140 हेक्टेयर भूमि राजस्व अभिलेखों में पीढ़ियों से श्मशान भूमि के रूप में दर्ज होने का दावा किया गया है।
भारतीय किसान यूनियन (तेवतिया) के पदाधिकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि कुछ भूमाफियाओं और प्रॉपर्टी कारोबार से जुड़े लोगों ने सार्वजनिक भूमि पर कथित रूप से अवैध कब्जा कर चारदीवारी कर ली है। किसानों का कहना है कि इस मामले को लेकर ग्रामीणों में आक्रोश है।
करीब 100 वर्षों से श्मशान के रूप में उपयोग का दावा
भाकियू (तेवतिया) के पदाधिकारियों के मुताबिक, संबंधित भूमि का उपयोग करीब 100 वर्षों से श्मशान के रूप में होता रहा है। संगठन का कहना है कि सार्वजनिक उपयोग की भूमि पर निजी कब्जे के आरोप गंभीर हैं और इस मामले की निष्पक्ष जांच होनी चाहिए।
किसानों ने कहा कि मामला केवल राजस्व अभिलेखों से संबंधित नहीं है, बल्कि ग्रामीणों की धार्मिक और सामाजिक भावनाओं से भी जुड़ा हुआ है।
अवैध कब्जा हटाने और कानूनी कार्रवाई की मांग
प्रदर्शन कर रहे किसानों ने प्रशासन से राजस्व अभिलेखों और मौके की स्थिति की जांच कराने की मांग की। साथ ही, यदि जांच में अवैध कब्जे की पुष्टि होती है तो भूमि को तत्काल कब्जामुक्त कराने और जिम्मेदार लोगों के खिलाफ नियमानुसार कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई करने की मांग की गई।
किसानों का कहना है कि प्रशासन को पूरे प्रकरण की निष्पक्ष जांच कर वास्तविक स्थिति स्पष्ट करनी चाहिए।
कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो आंदोलन की चेतावनी
भारतीय किसान यूनियन (तेवतिया) ने चेतावनी दी कि यदि प्रशासन द्वारा जल्द प्रभावी कार्रवाई नहीं की गई तो संगठन तहसील स्तर पर बड़ा आंदोलन शुरू कर सकता है।
किसान संगठन ने कहा कि मांगों पर कार्रवाई नहीं होने की स्थिति में आंदोलन की जिम्मेदारी प्रशासन की होगी।
तहसीलदार ने दिया जांच और कार्रवाई का आश्वासन
तहसीलदार ने किसानों का ज्ञापन प्राप्त कर मामले की जांच कराने और नियमानुसार कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिया है। फिलहाल प्रशासन की ओर से राजस्व अभिलेखों और मौके की स्थिति का परीक्षण किए जाने की बात कही गई है।
अब ग्राम औरंगाबाद दतेड़ी के ग्रामीणों और किसान संगठन की नजर प्रशासन की आगामी कार्रवाई पर टिकी हुई है।
Farmers Allege Encroachment on 100-Year-Old Cremation Ground in Modinagar, Warn of Protest
Modinagar, Ghaziabad: Members of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tewatia) and local farmers staged a protest at the Modinagar tehsil premises on Monday, alleging illegal encroachment on a cremation ground in Aurangabad Dateri village. The protesters submitted a memorandum to the tehsildar and demanded immediate administrative action.
Farmers Cite Revenue Records for Khasra Number 450K
According to the memorandum submitted by the farmers, land measuring 0.2140 hectares under Khasra Number 450K in Aurangabad Dateri village, Modinagar tehsil, Ghaziabad district, has allegedly been recorded as cremation ground land in revenue records for generations.
Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tewatia) representatives alleged that some land operators and people associated with the property business had illegally occupied the public land and constructed a boundary wall around it.
The allegations have reportedly caused concern and anger among local villagers.
Land Used as Cremation Ground for Nearly 100 Years, Farmers Claim
Farmer union representatives claimed that the land has been used as a cremation ground for nearly 100 years.
They said the alleged private occupation of land meant for public use is a serious matter and demanded an impartial investigation by the administration.
The farmers also said the issue is connected with the religious and social sentiments of local residents.
Demand for Investigation and Removal of Alleged Encroachment
The protesting farmers demanded verification of revenue records and an inspection of the site.
They urged the administration to remove any illegal encroachment if the allegations are confirmed during the investigation and take legal action against those found responsible in accordance with the law.
The farmer organisation said the administration should conduct a transparent investigation and clarify the actual status of the disputed land.
BKU Tewatia Warns of Larger Protest
The Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tewatia) warned that it may launch a larger agitation at the tehsil level if effective action is not taken soon.
The organisation said the administration would be responsible for the situation if its demands were not addressed.
Tehsildar Assures Investigation and Action
The tehsildar received the memorandum and reportedly assured the farmers that the matter would be investigated and appropriate action would be taken according to the rules.
The administration is expected to examine the revenue records and the current situation at the site.
Residents of Aurangabad Dateri village and farmer union representatives are now awaiting further action from the local administration.
