Modinagar Dumping Ground Fire : गाजियाबाद के मोदीनगर स्थित लंकापुरी कॉलोनी में नगर पालिका परिषद के डंपिंग ग्राउंड में गुरुवार सुबह भीषण आग लग गई। आग इतनी तेजी से फैली कि देखते ही देखते ऊंची-ऊंची लपटें उठने लगीं और पूरे इलाके में धुआं फैल गया। घटना के बाद आसपास रहने वाले लोग दहशत में अपने घरों से बाहर निकल आए।
4 दमकल गाड़ियों ने 3 घंटे में पाया काबू
स्थानीय लोगों की सूचना पर पुलिस और दमकल विभाग की टीम मौके पर पहुंची। शुरुआत में एक दमकल गाड़ी आग बुझाने में नाकाम रही, जिसके बाद अतिरिक्त गाड़ियां बुलाई गईं। करीब 3 घंटे की कड़ी मशक्कत के बाद दमकल विभाग की 4 गाड़ियों ने आग पर पूरी तरह काबू पा लिया। राहत की बात यह रही कि इस हादसे में कोई जनहानि नहीं हुई।
डंपिंग ग्राउंड हटाने की मांग तेज
दमकल विभाग के निरीक्षक अमित कुमार ने बताया कि आग लगने के कारणों का अभी पता नहीं चल सका है और मामले की जांच की जा रही है।
स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि इस डंपिंग ग्राउंड में अक्सर गर्मियों के दौरान आग लग जाती है। निवासियों ने नगर पालिका परिषद से कई बार इस अवैध डंपिंग ग्राउंड को हटाने की मांग की है, लेकिन अब तक केवल आश्वासन ही मिला है।

Modinagar Dumping Ground Fire : A massive fire broke out on Thursday morning at the municipal dumping ground located in Lankapuri Colony of Modinagar, Ghaziabad. The flames spread rapidly, sending huge plumes of smoke into the sky and creating panic among nearby residents. People living around the area rushed out of their homes after seeing the terrifying fire.
4 Fire Engines Took 3 Hours To Control The Fire
After receiving information from locals, police and fire department teams rushed to the spot. Initially, one fire engine failed to control the blaze, after which additional fire tenders were called in.
After nearly 3 hours of continuous efforts, four fire engines managed to completely bring the fire under control. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Residents Demand Removal Of Dumping Ground
Fire department inspector Amit Kumar said that the exact cause of the fire is still unknown and an investigation is underway. Local residents claimed that fire incidents frequently occur at the dumping ground during summer. They also stated that they have repeatedly demanded the municipal council remove the illegal dumping site, but authorities have only given assurances so far.
