New Delhi : नई दिल्ली में जंतर-मंतर पर शिक्षा सुधार और पेपर लीक मामलों की निष्पक्ष जांच की मांग को लेकर पिछले 21 दिनों से भूख हड़ताल पर बैठे सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता सोनम वांगचुक की तबीयत बिगड़ने के बाद उन्हें शनिवार सुबह पुलिस द्वारा सफदरजंग अस्पताल ले जाया गया। घटना के बाद प्रदर्शन स्थल पर तनाव का माहौल बन गया और समर्थकों ने विरोध प्रदर्शन किया।
पत्नी और समर्थकों ने उठाए सवाल
वांगचुक की पत्नी गीतांजलि आंगमो ने दावा किया कि उन्हें अस्पताल ले जाने की जानकारी समय पर नहीं दी गई। उन्होंने कहा कि पहले डॉक्टरों ने स्वास्थ्य सामान्य बताया था, लेकिन बाद में शरीर में पोटैशियम का स्तर कम होने की बात कही गई। वहीं मेडिकल रिपोर्ट साझा न किए जाने को लेकर भी सवाल उठाए गए।
समर्थकों का प्रदर्शन जारी
वांगचुक के अस्पताल पहुंचने के बाद उनके समर्थकों ने आंदोलन जारी रखने का ऐलान किया। कॉन्करेच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के संस्थापक अभिजीत दीपके ने दावा किया कि उन्होंने वांगचुक से बातचीत की है और वे आंदोलन जारी रखना चाहते हैं। वहीं आम आदमी पार्टी के संयोजक अरविंद केजरीवाल ने भी लोगों से जंतर-मंतर पहुंचकर शांतिपूर्ण समर्थन देने की अपील की।
अन्य प्रदर्शनकारियों की भी बिगड़ी तबीयत
जानकारी के अनुसार ऑल इंडिया स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन (AISA) के तीन अन्य छात्र भी लगातार भूख हड़ताल पर हैं। इनमें से एक छात्रा को हाइपोग्लाइसीमिया की आशंका के चलते अस्पताल में भर्ती होने की सलाह दी गई है, जबकि अन्य प्रदर्शनकारियों की सेहत पर भी डॉक्टर लगातार निगरानी रखे हुए हैं।

The development triggered protests by supporters, while police maintained that the move was taken considering his medical condition.
Family Raises Questions Over Medical Information
Wangchuk’s wife, Geetanjali Angmo, alleged that the family was not informed before he was taken to the hospital. She also questioned the lack of access to his medical reports after doctors reportedly indicated that his potassium level had dropped.
Supporters Continue the Protest
Following Wangchuk’s hospitalization, his supporters announced that the protest would continue. Activists claimed Wangchuk wanted the movement to go on, while political leaders also appealed for peaceful public support at Jantar Mantar.
Other Hunger Strikers Under Medical Observation
Reports suggest that three other student protesters associated with the movement remain on hunger strike. One participant has reportedly been advised hospitalization due to suspected hypoglycemia, while health officials continue monitoring the condition of the remaining protesters.
