मोदीनगर/गाजियाबाद, 14 जुलाई। गाजियाबाद के निवाड़ी थाना क्षेत्र स्थित नगर पंचायत कार्यालय पर मंगलवार को भारतीय किसान यूनियन (टिकैत) के कार्यकर्ताओं ने कथित भ्रष्टाचार और सरकारी संसाधनों के दुरुपयोग के आरोपों को लेकर धरना प्रदर्शन किया। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने मामले की निष्पक्ष और उच्च स्तरीय जांच कराने की मांग की।
धरने में शामिल भाकियू (टिकैत) के पदाधिकारियों ने नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष पर सरकारी संसाधनों का कथित रूप से निजी हित में इस्तेमाल करने और विकास कार्यों में वित्तीय अनियमितताएं बरतने के आरोप लगाए। प्रदर्शनकारियों का कहना है कि पूरे मामले की स्वतंत्र जांच होने पर वास्तविक स्थिति सामने आ सकती है।
नगर पंचायत के संसाधनों के दुरुपयोग का आरोप
भारतीय किसान यूनियन (टिकैत) के पदाधिकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि पिछले करीब एक वर्ष से नगर पंचायत के संसाधनों का कथित दुरुपयोग किया जा रहा है। संगठन के अनुसार, लाखों रुपये की मिट्टी का भराव नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष के निजी मकान में कराए जाने के आरोप हैं।
किसान नेताओं ने दावा किया कि उनके पास इस मामले से जुड़े वीडियो साक्ष्य उपलब्ध हैं। संगठन के मुताबिक, कुछ वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर भी प्रसारित हो रहे हैं। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने मांग की कि वीडियो और अन्य उपलब्ध साक्ष्यों की निष्पक्ष जांच कराई जाए।
हालांकि, इन आरोपों की स्वतंत्र और आधिकारिक पुष्टि जांच पूरी होने के बाद ही हो सकेगी।
उच्च स्तरीय जांच और कानूनी कार्रवाई की मांग
धरना दे रहे किसानों ने नगर पंचायत में कथित घोटालों और वित्तीय अनियमितताओं की उच्च स्तरीय जांच कराने की मांग की। प्रदर्शनकारियों का कहना था कि यदि जांच में कोई व्यक्ति दोषी पाया जाता है तो उसके खिलाफ सख्त कानूनी कार्रवाई की जानी चाहिए।
किसान नेताओं ने कहा कि सरकारी संसाधन जनता और क्षेत्र के विकास के लिए उपलब्ध कराए जाते हैं। ऐसे संसाधनों का निजी कार्यों में इस्तेमाल किए जाने के आरोप गंभीर हैं और प्रशासन को मामले की पारदर्शी जांच करानी चाहिए।
तीन नामित सभासद भी धरने में हुए शामिल
भाकियू (टिकैत) के कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ नगर पंचायत के तीन नामित सभासद भी धरना प्रदर्शन में शामिल हुए। सभासदों ने भी नगर पंचायत में कथित वित्तीय अनियमितताओं और भ्रष्टाचार को लेकर सवाल उठाए।
सभासदों का दावा है कि उन्होंने पहले भी संबंधित अधिकारियों को लिखित शिकायतें दी थीं। आरोप है कि शिकायतों के बावजूद अब तक कोई प्रभावी कार्रवाई नहीं की गई।
प्रदर्शनकारियों ने प्रशासन से पूर्व में दी गई शिकायतों और संबंधित दस्तावेजों की भी जांच कराने की मांग की।
कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो आंदोलन तेज करने की चेतावनी
भारतीय किसान यूनियन (टिकैत) के नेताओं ने चेतावनी दी कि यदि उनकी मांगों पर शीघ्र कार्रवाई नहीं की गई तो आंदोलन को और व्यापक किया जाएगा।
किसान नेताओं का कहना है कि संगठन इस मामले में पारदर्शी और निष्पक्ष जांच चाहता है। उन्होंने प्रशासन से जल्द जांच प्रक्रिया शुरू करने और जांच की स्थिति सार्वजनिक करने की मांग की।
समाचार लिखे जाने तक नगर पंचायत प्रशासन या नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष की ओर से लगाए गए आरोपों पर कोई आधिकारिक प्रतिक्रिया सामने नहीं आई थी। मामले में लगाए गए आरोपों की स्वतंत्र पुष्टि होना अभी शेष है और जांच के बाद ही वास्तविक स्थिति स्पष्ट हो सकेगी।
BKU (Tikait) Stages Protest Over Alleged Corruption in Niwari Nagar Panchayat, Demands Fair Probe
Modinagar/Ghaziabad, July 14: Workers of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Tikait) staged a protest at the Niwari Nagar Panchayat office in Ghaziabad, raising allegations of corruption and misuse of government resources. The protesters demanded an impartial and high-level investigation into the matter.
BKU (Tikait) representatives accused the Nagar Panchayat chairman of allegedly using public resources for private interests and claimed that financial irregularities had taken place in development-related works.
The protesters said a transparent investigation was necessary to establish the facts and determine whether public resources had been misused.
Allegations of Misuse of Nagar Panchayat Resources
BKU (Tikait) office-bearers alleged that Nagar Panchayat resources had been misused for nearly a year. According to the organisation, soil and filling material allegedly worth lakhs of rupees was used at the private residence of the Nagar Panchayat chairman.
Farmer leaders claimed that they have video evidence related to the allegations. They also said that some videos connected with the matter are being circulated on social media.
The protesters demanded that the videos and other available evidence be examined by an independent authority to establish the facts.
The allegations, however, remain independently unverified and can only be conclusively established after an official investigation.
Protesters Demand High-Level Investigation
Farmers participating in the protest demanded a high-level and impartial investigation into the alleged financial irregularities and suspected misuse of public resources in Niwari Nagar Panchayat.
They said strict legal action should be taken against anyone found responsible during the investigation.
The farmer leaders argued that government resources are meant for public welfare and local development. Any alleged use of such resources for private purposes should, they said, be investigated transparently.
Three Nominated Councillors Join Protest
Three nominated councillors of the Nagar Panchayat also joined the BKU (Tikait) workers during the protest.
The councillors raised allegations of large-scale financial irregularities and corruption in the Nagar Panchayat. They claimed that written complaints had previously been submitted to the concerned authorities, but no effective action had been taken so far.
The protesters demanded that the administration also examine the earlier complaints and relevant records as part of the investigation.
BKU Warns of Intensifying Protest
BKU (Tikait) leaders warned that the agitation could be intensified if prompt action was not taken on their demands.
The organisation said it wanted a transparent and impartial investigation and urged the administration to initiate the probe at the earliest.
As of the filing of this report, no official response had been issued by the Niwari Nagar Panchayat administration or the Nagar Panchayat chairman regarding the allegations.
The claims remain allegations and have not yet been independently verified. The factual position is expected to become clearer only after a formal investigation.
