
मोदीनगर। थाना मोदीनगर पुलिस ने वाहन चोरी की घटनाओं का खुलासा करते हुए तीन आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के कब्जे से चोरी की चार मोटरसाइकिलें बरामद की हैं। बरामद बाइकों में से तीन के संबंध में मोदीनगर और निवाड़ी थाना क्षेत्रों में चोरी के मामले दर्ज हैं। चौथी बाइक के संबंध में पुलिस जांच कर रही है।
चेकिंग के दौरान पकड़े गए तीन आरोपी
पुलिस के अनुसार रविवार को थाना मोदीनगर पुलिस क्षेत्र में चेकिंग अभियान चला रही थी। इसी दौरान वाहन चोरी से जुड़े संदिग्धों के बारे में सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस ने कार्रवाई की और तीन युवकों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया।
गिरफ्तार आरोपियों की पहचान इंद्रापुरी, मोदीनगर निवासी 26 वर्षीय अनुज पुत्र प्रेमराज, डिडौली गांव, मुरादनगर निवासी 18 वर्षीय ध्रुव त्यागी पुत्र राजेश और त्रिमूर्ति विहार, जलालपुर रोड निवासी 21 वर्षीय दीपक उर्फ दीपेंद्र पुत्र पुष्पेंद्र के रूप में हुई है।
दो अन्य साथियों के साथ बाइक चोरी करने का आरोप
पुलिस पूछताछ में आरोपियों ने बताया कि वे अपने दो अन्य साथियों के साथ मिलकर अलग-अलग स्थानों से मोटरसाइकिल चोरी करते थे। चोरी की गई बाइकों को पहले छिपाकर रखा जाता था और बाद में मौका मिलने पर उन्हें बेचने की तैयारी की जाती थी।
पुलिस के मुताबिक आरोपी चोरी की मोटरसाइकिलों को बेचने की फिराक में थे। इसी दौरान चेकिंग के दौरान पुलिस के हत्थे चढ़ गए।
चार चोरी की मोटरसाइकिल बरामद
पुलिस जांच के दौरान बरामद चार मोटरसाइकिलों में से दो के संबंध में मोदीनगर थाने में चोरी के दो मुकदमे दर्ज मिले हैं। वहीं, एक मोटरसाइकिल निवाड़ी थाना क्षेत्र से चोरी की गई थी। चौथी मोटरसाइकिल के संबंध में पुलिस जानकारी जुटा रही है।
दो फरार आरोपियों की तलाश जारी
मामले में पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ बीएनएस की संबंधित धाराओं में मुकदमा दर्ज कर आगे की कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है। पुलिस वाहन चोर गिरोह से जुड़े दो अन्य आरोपियों राज उर्फ राजेश निवासी मुरादनगर और अजगर उर्फ रोहित निवासी डिकोली, बागपत की तलाश कर रही है।
पुलिस आरोपियों के अन्य आपराधिक इतिहास और गिरोह द्वारा चोरी की गई अन्य मोटरसाइकिलों के संबंध में भी जानकारी जुटा रही है।
Modinagar Vehicle Thief Gang Busted, Three Arrested; Four Stolen Bikes Recovered
Modinagar: Modinagar Police have busted a vehicle theft gang and arrested three accused persons in connection with motorcycle theft cases. Police have recovered four stolen motorcycles from their possession. Three of the recovered bikes have been linked to theft cases registered in Modinagar and Niwari police station areas, while police are investigating the details of the fourth motorcycle.
Three Accused Arrested During Checking
According to police, a checking drive was underway in the Modinagar area on Sunday. Acting on information about suspects allegedly involved in vehicle theft, police launched an operation and arrested three young men.
The arrested accused have been identified as 26-year-old Anuj, son of Premraj, a resident of Indrapuri, Modinagar; 18-year-old Dhruv Tyagi, son of Rajesh, a resident of Didoli village in Muradnagar; and 21-year-old Deepak alias Deependra, son of Pushpendra, a resident of Trimurti Vihar on Jalalpur Road.
Accused Allegedly Stole Motorcycles With Two Associates
During interrogation, the accused allegedly told police that they used to steal motorcycles from different locations along with two other associates. The stolen motorcycles were allegedly hidden at different places before being prepared for sale.
Police said the accused were allegedly looking for an opportunity to sell the stolen motorcycles when they were caught during the checking operation.
Four Stolen Motorcycles Recovered
Police investigation revealed that two of the four recovered motorcycles are linked to two theft cases registered at Modinagar Police Station. Another motorcycle was reported stolen from the Niwari police station area.
Police are currently verifying the details and ownership of the fourth motorcycle.
Search Underway for Two Other Suspects
Police have registered a case against the arrested accused under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and started further investigation.
Police are also searching for two alleged associates identified as Raj alias Rajesh, a resident of Muradnagar, and Ajgar alias Rohit, a resident of Dikoli in Baghpat.
Police are also checking the criminal records of the arrested accused and investigating whether the gang was involved in other vehicle theft cases.
