
गाजियाबाद। विजय नगर थाना क्षेत्र की सेक्टर-9 चौकी इलाके में लगातार हो रही चोरी की घटनाओं से परेशान स्थानीय लोगों का आक्रोश अब सड़कों पर नजर आने लगा है। शुक्रवार को बड़ी संख्या में स्थानीय लोगों ने इलाके में मार्च निकालकर विरोध जताया। इस दौरान लोगों के हाथों में लाठी-डंडे नजर आए और उन्होंने ‘जागते रहो’ के नारे लगाते हुए सुरक्षा व्यवस्था मजबूत करने की मांग की।
एक महीने में 6 से ज्यादा चोरी की घटनाओं का दावा
स्थानीय लोगों के मुताबिक, पिछले करीब एक महीने में इलाके में 6 से अधिक चोरी की वारदातें हो चुकी हैं। इसके अलावा 10 से ज्यादा चोरी के प्रयास किए जाने की भी बात सामने आई है। लगातार हो रही घटनाओं के कारण क्षेत्र के लोगों में डर और असुरक्षा का माहौल बना हुआ है।
लोगों का कहना है कि रात के समय चोरी की घटनाओं को लेकर उन्हें अपने घरों और आसपास की सुरक्षा की चिंता बनी रहती है। स्थानीय निवासियों ने पुलिस गश्त बढ़ाने और संवेदनशील इलाकों में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था मजबूत करने की मांग की है।
शिकायत और एफआईआर के बावजूद गिरफ्तारी नहीं होने का आरोप
स्थानीय लोगों का आरोप है कि चोरी की घटनाओं को लेकर पुलिस में शिकायतें दी गई हैं और कुछ मामलों में एफआईआर भी दर्ज कराई गई है। इसके बावजूद अभी तक आरोपियों की गिरफ्तारी नहीं होने से लोगों में नाराजगी है।
स्थानीय निवासियों का कहना है कि यदि चोरी की घटनाओं पर प्रभावी कार्रवाई नहीं होती है तो लोगों का पुलिस-प्रशासन पर भरोसा प्रभावित हो सकता है। हालांकि, इन आरोपों पर पुलिस का आधिकारिक पक्ष सामने आना अभी बाकी है।
युवाओं ने रात में निगरानी की तैयारी की
लगातार हो रही चोरी की घटनाओं के बाद स्थानीय युवाओं ने एक दल बनाकर रात के समय इलाके में निगरानी करने की बात कही है। इसी क्रम में शुक्रवार को बड़ी संख्या में लोग लाठी-डंडों के साथ सड़कों पर निकले और मार्च किया।
मार्च के दौरान लोगों ने ‘जागते रहो’ के नारे लगाए। प्रदर्शन कर रहे लोगों ने पुलिस से इलाके में नियमित गश्त बढ़ाने, चोरी की घटनाओं की जांच तेज करने और आरोपियों के खिलाफ कार्रवाई करने की मांग की।
कार्रवाई नहीं हुई तो विरोध तेज करने की चेतावनी
स्थानीय लोगों ने कहा कि यदि क्षेत्र में चोरी की घटनाओं पर जल्द रोक नहीं लगी और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था में सुधार नहीं हुआ तो उनका विरोध आगे और तेज हो सकता है। लोगों ने प्रशासन से इलाके में सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की समीक्षा कर आवश्यक कदम उठाने की मांग की है।

Ghaziabad: Anger among residents of the Sector-9 Chowki area under Vijay Nagar police station has intensified following a series of alleged theft incidents. On Friday, a large number of local residents took out a march in the area to protest against the incidents and demand better security.
During the march, residents were seen carrying sticks and raising ‘Jaagte Raho’ (Stay Alert) slogans. The protesters demanded increased police patrolling and stronger security arrangements in the locality.
Residents Claim More Than 6 Thefts in a Month
According to local residents, more than six theft incidents have allegedly taken place in the area over the past month. Residents have also claimed that there have been more than 10 attempted thefts during the same period.
The repeated incidents have reportedly created a sense of fear and insecurity among people living in the area. Residents have urged the police to increase night patrolling and take preventive measures to stop further incidents.
Residents Allege No Arrests Despite Complaints
Local residents allege that complaints have been submitted to the police and FIRs have also been registered in connection with theft incidents. However, they claim that no arrests have been made so far.
The residents have expressed concern over the alleged delay in action and demanded that the police speed up the investigation and identify those responsible.
The official response from the police regarding the allegations was not immediately available.
Local Youths Plan Night Patrols
Following the alleged increase in theft incidents, local youths have reportedly formed a group to monitor the area during the night.
As part of the initiative, residents came out on Friday carrying sticks and marched through the locality. They raised ‘Jaagte Raho’ slogans and demanded better security arrangements.
Residents said that regular night patrolling and increased police presence could help prevent further incidents in the area.

Residents have said that their protest could intensify if theft incidents continue and security arrangements are not improved.
They have urged the police and local administration to review the security situation in the area, increase patrolling and take action in cases of theft.
