मोदीनगर (गाजियाबाद)। खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं औषधि प्रशासन विभाग की टीम ने मोदीनगर में बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए करीब 27 लाख रुपये से अधिक कीमत के फूड सप्लीमेंट जब्त किए हैं। विभाग की टीम ने जीटी रोड स्थित मोदी स्टील कंपाउंड में जीएस फार्मब्यूटर के खाद्य कारोबार परिसर का निरीक्षण किया। कार्रवाई के दौरान पैकेज्ड फूड सप्लीमेंट पर भ्रामक दावा पाए जाने के बाद बड़ी मात्रा में उत्पाद को सील कर दिया गया।
जीएस फार्मब्यूटर परिसर में खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग की छापेमारी
खाद्य सुरक्षा एवं औषधि प्रशासन विभाग की टीम ने निरीक्षण के दौरान तीन फूड सप्लीमेंट के नमूने भी लिए। इनमें ‘फूड फॉर स्पेशल डाइटरी यूज़’ का एक नमूना और न्यूट्रास्यूटिकल्स श्रेणी के दो नमूने शामिल हैं। विभाग के अनुसार, सभी नमूनों को जांच के लिए प्रयोगशाला भेजा जा रहा है।
मैक्सविडा न्यूट्रास्यूटिकल्स पर मिला भ्रामक दावा
जांच के दौरान ‘मैक्सविडा न्यूट्रास्यूटिकल्स’ नाम के पैकेज्ड उत्पाद पर “Wholesome Daily Nutrient for Adult” का दावा अंकित पाया गया। विभाग ने इसे खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों के अनुरूप नहीं माना और कार्रवाई करते हुए संबंधित उत्पाद को जब्त कर लिया।
7,794 यूनिट फूड सप्लीमेंट जब्त
विभागीय कार्रवाई के दौरान 400 ग्राम के 7,794 यूनिट उत्पाद जब्त किए गए। जब्त किए गए फूड सप्लीमेंट का कुल वजन करीब 3,117 किलोग्राम बताया गया है। विभाग के अनुसार, जब्त माल की अनुमानित कीमत 27 लाख 24 हजार 258 रुपये है।
लैब रिपोर्ट के बाद होगी आगे की कार्रवाई
खाद्य सुरक्षा विभाग के अधिकारियों के मुताबिक, जब्त किए गए उत्पादों के नमूनों को जांच के लिए प्रयोगशाला भेजा जा रहा है। लैब रिपोर्ट प्राप्त होने के बाद नियमानुसार आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
विभाग की इस कार्रवाई के बाद मोदीनगर क्षेत्र में खाद्य कारोबारियों के बीच हलचल बढ़ गई है। अधिकारियों ने खाद्य कारोबारियों को खाद्य सुरक्षा मानकों और पैकेजिंग से जुड़े नियमों का पालन करने की हिदायत दी है।
Food Safety Department Action in Modinagar: Food Supplements Worth Rs 27 Lakh Seized
Modinagar (Ghaziabad): The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department has taken major action in Modinagar, seizing food supplements worth more than Rs 27 lakh from the premises of GS Pharmbutor. The action was carried out at the food business premises located in the Modi Steel Compound on GT Road.
According to the department, the inspection was conducted following concerns related to misleading claims on packaged food supplements. During the operation, officials also collected three samples for laboratory testing.
Three Food Supplement Samples Collected
During the inspection, the food safety team collected three samples of food supplements. One sample belonged to the category of “Food for Special Dietary Use”, while two samples were from the nutraceuticals category.
The samples are being sent to a laboratory for detailed examination. Further action will be taken based on the laboratory findings and applicable food safety regulations.
Misleading Claim Found on Maxvida Nutraceuticals Product
During the inspection, officials found the packaged product “Maxvida Nutraceuticals” carrying the claim “Wholesome Daily Nutrient for Adult.” The department considered the claim to be misleading and initiated action against the product for alleged violation of food safety standards.
7,794 Units Seized
The food safety team seized 7,794 units of the product, with each unit weighing 400 grams. The total quantity of the seized product is approximately 3,117 kilograms.
The estimated value of the seized stock has been reported at Rs 27,24,258.
Further Legal Action After Laboratory Report
Food safety officials said that the collected samples are being sent to a laboratory for testing. Further legal action will be taken according to the rules after the laboratory report is received.
The action has caused concern among food business operators in the Modinagar area. The department has reiterated the need for food businesses to comply with food safety standards, labeling requirements and applicable regulations.
