मोदीनगर, गाजियाबाद: मोदीनगर के बुढ़ाना गांव में रविवार देर रात एक किसान परिवार के घर में लाखों रुपये की चोरी की वारदात सामने आई है। अज्ञात चोर घर में घुसकर करीब 2 लाख रुपये की नकदी और सोने-चांदी के आभूषण चोरी कर फरार हो गए। घटना के बाद इलाके में दहशत का माहौल है, जबकि पुलिस ने मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी है।
रात में घर में घुसे चोर, सुबह खुला वारदात का राज
पीड़ित परिवार के अनुसार, परिवार का एक सदस्य रात करीब 1 बजे तक जाग रहा था। इसके बाद सभी लोग सो गए। सुबह उठने पर घर का मुख्य दरवाजा खुला मिला। जब अंदर जाकर देखा तो अलमारी और लॉकर के ताले टूटे हुए थे और सामान बिखरा पड़ा था। जांच करने पर करीब 2 लाख रुपये नकद और सोने-चांदी के कीमती आभूषण गायब मिले।
पुलिस जांच में जुटी, ग्रामीणों ने बढ़ाई सुरक्षा की मांग
घटना की सूचना तुरंत डायल-112 पर दी गई। मौके पर पहुंची पुलिस ने घटनास्थल का निरीक्षण किया और आवश्यक साक्ष्य जुटाए। पीड़ित परिवार ने निवाड़ी रोड चौकी में तहरीर देकर आरोपियों के खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है। पुलिस का कहना है कि आसपास लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाली जा रही है और जल्द आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया जाएगा।
लगातार बढ़ रही चोरी और लूट की घटनाएं
स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि निवाड़ी रोड क्षेत्र में चोरी और लूट की घटनाएं लगातार बढ़ रही हैं। एक दिन पहले आदर्श नगर में दिनदहाड़े महिला से चेन स्नैचिंग की घटना हुई थी। अब बुढ़ाना गांव में लाखों की चोरी ने ग्रामीणों की चिंता और बढ़ा दी है। लोगों ने पुलिस से रात में गश्त बढ़ाने और अपराधियों पर सख्त कार्रवाई की मांग की है।
परिवार पर टूटा दुखों का पहाड़
पीड़ित परिवार खेती-किसानी से जुड़ा हुआ है। परिवार का कहना है कि चोरी हुई रकम कई वर्षों की मेहनत और बचत की कमाई थी। घटना के बाद परिवार सदमे में है। पुलिस ने आश्वासन दिया है कि मामले की हर पहलू से जांच की जा रही है और जल्द ही आरोपियों को पकड़ने का प्रयास किया जाएगा.

Modinagar, Ghaziabad: A major burglary has been reported from Budhana village in Modinagar, where unidentified thieves allegedly broke into a farmer’s house late Sunday night and fled with around ₹2 lakh in cash along with gold and silver jewellery. The incident has created panic among local residents, and police have begun an investigation.
Thieves Broke into the House During the Night
According to the victim’s family, one family member remained awake until around 1:00 AM before everyone went to sleep. The next morning, they found the main door open. Upon checking inside, they discovered that the cupboards and lockers had been broken open and valuables were missing. Approximately ₹2 lakh in cash and several gold and silver ornaments had been stolen.
Police Investigation Underway
The family immediately informed Dial-112. Police reached the spot, inspected the crime scene, and collected evidence. A written complaint has been submitted at the Nivadi Road Police Outpost. Police officials said CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest the accused.
Rise in Theft Incidents Worries Residents
Local residents claimed that theft and robbery cases have been increasing in the Nivadi Road area. Just a day earlier, a woman was allegedly targeted in a chain-snatching incident in Adarsh Nagar. The latest burglary has further raised security concerns, with residents demanding increased night patrolling and stricter policing.
Farmer’s Family Suffers Heavy Loss
The victim’s family depends on farming for their livelihood and stated that the stolen money represented years of hard-earned savings. The incident has left the family devastated. Police have assured that all possible angles are being investigated and that the culprits will be arrested soon.
