मोदीनगर: तहसील परिसर में गुरुवार को राजनीतिक किसान यूनियन के पदाधिकारियों और कार्यकर्ताओं ने उप जिलाधिकारी कार्यालय के बाहर धरना प्रदर्शन किया। किसान यूनियन के जिला अध्यक्ष विनीत त्यागी के नेतृत्व में प्रदर्शनकारियों ने जमीन की कुर्रे बंदी और नपत के दौरान कथित रूप से पैसे मांगने का आरोप लगाते हुए निष्पक्ष जांच और कार्रवाई की मांग की।
जमीन की नपत के दौरान ₹5 हजार मांगने का आरोप
किसान यूनियन के जिला अध्यक्ष विनीत त्यागी ने बताया कि यूनियन के एक पदाधिकारी की जमीन की कुर्रे बंदी और नपत होनी थी। इसी सिलसिले में संबंधित कानूनगो मौके पर नपत करने पहुंचे थे।
आरोप है कि मौके पर किसान और कानूनगो के बीच बातचीत के दौरान कानूनगो ने कथित तौर पर ₹5 हजार की मांग की। किसान पक्ष का आरोप है कि पैसे नहीं देने पर कानूनगो ने चकरोड को उनके खेत की जमीन से निकालने की बात कही।
आरोप के बाद तहसील पहुंचे किसान, SDM कार्यालय के बाहर धरना
मामले की जानकारी मिलने के बाद किसान यूनियन के पदाधिकारी और कार्यकर्ता मोदीनगर तहसील पहुंचे और उप जिलाधिकारी कार्यालय के बाहर धरने पर बैठ गए। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोपों की निष्पक्ष जांच कराने और शिकायत सही पाए जाने पर संबंधित कर्मचारी के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की।
किसान यूनियन के कार्यकर्ताओं ने कहा कि किसानों से जुड़े जमीन संबंधी कार्य नियमानुसार होने चाहिए और किसी भी किसान से अवैध रूप से धन की मांग नहीं की जानी चाहिए।
तहसील प्रशासन ने किसानों से की बातचीत
धरने की सूचना मिलने पर तहसील प्रशासन के अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और प्रदर्शन कर रहे किसान यूनियन के पदाधिकारियों से बातचीत की। किसानों ने मामले में उचित कार्रवाई का आश्वासन मिलने के बाद आगे की रणनीति तय करने की बात कही।
फिलहाल कानूनगो पर लगाए गए रिश्वत मांगने के आरोपों की आधिकारिक पुष्टि नहीं हुई है। मामले में प्रशासन की जांच और आगे की कार्रवाई के बाद स्थिति स्पष्ट होगी।
Farmers’ Union Protests at Modinagar Tehsil, Kanoongo Accused of Demanding ₹5,000
Modinagar: Members and office-bearers of a political farmers’ union staged a protest outside the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office at Modinagar Tehsil on Thursday. Led by district president Vineet Tyagi, the protesters alleged that a kanoongo demanded money during the demarcation and measurement of agricultural land.
Kanoongo Allegedly Demanded ₹5,000 During Land Measurement
According to farmers’ union district president Vineet Tyagi, land demarcation and measurement was scheduled for a plot belonging to a union office-bearer. The concerned kanoongo had reportedly reached the field to conduct the measurement.
The farmer allegedly claimed that the kanoongo demanded ₹5,000 during the proceedings. The farmer further alleged that he was told that if the money was not paid, a pathway would be marked through his agricultural land.
Farmers Stage Protest Outside SDM Office
After learning about the alleged demand, farmers’ union members reached Modinagar Tehsil and began a sit-in protest outside the SDM office. The protesters demanded an impartial investigation and strict action if the allegations are found to be true.
The union members said land-related work involving farmers should be carried out strictly according to rules and that farmers should not be asked for any illegal payments.
Tehsil Officials Hold Talks With Protesters
After receiving information about the protest, tehsil administration officials reached the spot and held discussions with the farmers’ union representatives. The protesters said they would decide their further course of action after receiving assurance regarding appropriate action.
The allegation against the kanoongo has not been officially established so far. Further details are expected after the administration examines the matter.
