मोदीनगर, गाजियाबाद। उत्तर प्रदेश के गाजियाबाद जिले की मोदीनगर तहसील में बीपीएल (BPL) राशन कार्ड बनवाने के नाम पर कथित रूप से ₹5,000 लेने का मामला सामने आया है। एक वरिष्ठ नागरिक एवं मजदूर ने आरोप लगाया है कि रकम लेने के बावजूद न तो उनका BPL राशन कार्ड बनाया गया और न ही उनकी राशि वापस की गई। मामले की शिकायत मोदीनगर के उपजिलाधिकारी (SDM) को सौंप दी गई है, जिसके बाद जांच शुरू कर दी गई है।
पीड़ित ने लगाए गंभीर आरोप
शिकायतकर्ता उदित नारायण ने अपनी लिखित शिकायत में बताया कि उनकी आर्थिक स्थिति बेहद कमजोर है और वे मजदूरी कर परिवार का पालन-पोषण करते हैं। उनका कहना है कि BPL राशन कार्ड बनवाने के लिए वे मोदीनगर तहसील के कमरा नंबर 19 पहुंचे थे।
पीड़ित के अनुसार, वहां मौजूद एक कर्मचारी ने कथित रूप से उनसे कहा कि BPL राशन कार्ड बन जाएगा, लेकिन इसके लिए ₹5,000 देने होंगे। आरोप है कि कर्मचारी ने यह भी कहा कि यह राशि उच्च अधिकारियों तक पहुंचानी पड़ती है।
उधार लेकर दिए ₹5 हजार
पीड़ित का आरोप है कि उन्होंने गांव के एक परिचित व्यक्ति से ब्याज पर ₹5,000 उधार लेकर संबंधित कर्मचारी को दे दिए। इसके बाद काफी समय बीत जाने के बावजूद न तो उनका BPL राशन कार्ड बनाया गया और न ही उनकी रकम लौटाई गई।
उन्होंने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि अब संबंधित कर्मचारी उनका फोन तक नहीं उठा रहा है।
SDM से लगाई न्याय की गुहार
पीड़ित ने पूरे मामले की लिखित शिकायत मोदीनगर के उपजिलाधिकारी अजीत सिंह को सौंपकर न्याय की मांग की है।
SDM अजीत सिंह ने बताया कि शिकायत प्राप्त हो गई है और संबंधित कर्मचारी के खिलाफ जांच कराई जा रही है। उन्होंने कहा कि जांच पूरी होने के बाद नियमानुसार उचित कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
जांच पूरी होने के बाद होगी आधिकारिक पुष्टि
फिलहाल यह मामला जांच के अधीन है। शिकायत में लगाए गए आरोपों की आधिकारिक पुष्टि अभी नहीं हुई है। प्रशासन का कहना है कि जांच रिपोर्ट आने के बाद तथ्यों के आधार पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
Modinagar Tehsil Employee Accused of Taking ₹5,000 for BPL Ration Card, SDM Orders Investigation
Modinagar, Ghaziabad: A fresh allegation of alleged corruption has surfaced at the Modinagar Tehsil in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad district. A senior citizen and daily wage labourer has accused a tehsil employee of taking ₹5,000 for processing a BPL (Below Poverty Line) ration card, but allegedly neither issuing the card nor returning the money. The complainant has approached the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), who has initiated an inquiry into the matter.
Complainant Alleges Demand for Money
According to the written complaint filed by Udit Narayan, he belongs to a financially weak family and survives through daily wage labour. He alleged that he visited Room No. 19 at Modinagar Tehsil to apply for a BPL ration card.
The complainant claimed that an employee allegedly assured him that the ration card would be issued only after paying ₹5,000. The employee allegedly stated that the money had to be passed on to higher authorities.
Borrowed Money to Make the Payment
The complainant alleged that he borrowed ₹5,000 from a villager on interest and handed over the amount to the concerned employee. However, despite waiting for a considerable period, neither was the BPL ration card issued nor was the money refunded.
He further alleged that the employee has now stopped answering his phone calls.
Complaint Submitted to SDM
Seeking justice, the complainant submitted a written complaint to Modinagar SDM Ajit Singh.
Speaking on the matter, SDM Ajit Singh confirmed that the complaint has been received and that an investigation against the concerned employee is underway. He stated that appropriate action will be taken in accordance with the law after the inquiry is completed.
Investigation Underway
At present, the matter remains under investigation. The allegations have not yet been officially verified, and the administration has stated that any further action will depend on the findings of the inquiry.
