ठाणे में कारोबारी के अपहरण से मचा हड़कंप, पुलिस ने सीसीटीवी की मदद से आरोपियों को ट्रेस कर खडावली से किया रेस्क्यू
ठाणे: महाराष्ट्र के ठाणे जिले में 50 लाख रुपये की फिरौती के लिए एक कारोबारी के अपहरण का मामला सामने आया है। पुलिस ने कार्रवाई करते हुए इस मामले में पांच आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने कारोबारी को सुरक्षित बरामद कर लिया है।
50 लाख रुपये की मांगी गई थी फिरौती
जानकारी के अनुसार, कल्याण निवासी कारोबारी जयाराम नेहलानी का कुछ दिन पहले उल्हासनगर के गोल मैदान इलाके से कथित तौर पर अपहरण कर लिया गया था। अपहरणकर्ताओं ने कारोबारी के परिवार से उसकी रिहाई के बदले 50 लाख रुपये की फिरौती मांगी थी।
परिवार के लोग आरोपियों की मांग के मुताबिक रकम लेकर कल्याण पहुंचे और एक व्यक्ति को 50 लाख रुपये सौंप दिए।
पैसे लेने के बाद बोला- ‘थैंक यू अंकल’
रकम लेने के बाद आरोपी ने कारोबारी के परिजनों को भरोसा दिलाया कि जयाराम नेहलानी जल्द ही घर पहुंच जाएगा। इसके बाद नकदी लेने वाले व्यक्ति ने रकम सौंपने वाले शख्स से ‘थैंक यू अंकल’ कहा और वहां से चला गया।
सीसीटीवी फुटेज से आरोपियों तक पहुंची पुलिस
कारोबारी के अपहरण की सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस ने जांच के लिए 10 टीमें गठित कीं। पुलिस ने इलाके में लगे सीसीटीवी कैमरों की फुटेज खंगाली और आरोपियों की गतिविधियों को ट्रैक करना शुरू किया।
जांच के दौरान पुलिस को आरोपियों के ठाणे के खडावली इलाके में होने का पता चला। इसके बाद पुलिस टीम ने स्थानीय लोगों की मदद से इलाके में कार्रवाई की।
कारोबारी को सुरक्षित कराया गया रेस्क्यू
पुलिस ने खडावली इलाके में कार्रवाई करते हुए कारोबारी जयाराम नेहलानी को सुरक्षित बरामद कर लिया। मौके से पुलिस ने एक आरोपी को हिरासत में लिया। मामले में जांच आगे बढ़ने के साथ पुलिस ने कुल पांच आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है।
पुलिस अब अपहरण की पूरी साजिश, आरोपियों की भूमिका और फिरौती की रकम से जुड़े अन्य पहलुओं की जांच कर रही है।
Businessman Kidnapped for Rs 50 Lakh Ransom in Thane, Five Arrested; Accused Said ‘Thank You, Uncle’
Kalyan-based businessman Jayram Nehalani was allegedly kidnapped from Ulhasnagar’s Gol Maidan area, following which the accused demanded Rs 50 lakh from his family.
Thane: Five people have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a businessman in Maharashtra’s Thane district for a ransom of Rs 50 lakh. The businessman, identified as Kalyan-based Jayram Nehalani, was safely rescued by the police.
Businessman Kidnapped from Ulhasnagar
According to the information available, Nehalani was allegedly kidnapped a few days ago from the Gol Maidan area of Ulhasnagar. The kidnappers subsequently demanded Rs 50 lakh from his family in exchange for his release.
The victim’s relatives went to Kalyan with the demanded ransom and handed over the money to a man.
Accused Said ‘Thank You, Uncle’ After Collecting Ransom
After collecting the cash, the man assured the family that Jayram Nehalani would reach home shortly. He then told the person who handed over the money, “Thank you, Uncle,” before leaving the spot.
The unusual exchange became part of the sequence of events as police continued their investigation into the kidnapping and ransom demand.
Police Formed 10 Teams to Track the Accused
Following the kidnapping, police formed 10 teams to trace the businessman and identify the accused. Investigators examined CCTV footage from different locations and tracked the suspects’ movements.
The investigation eventually led police to Khadavli in Thane district, where the accused were believed to be hiding.
Businessman Rescued Safely
With the assistance of local residents, police conducted an operation in the Khadavli area and safely rescued Nehalani. One of the accused was taken into custody at the spot.
Police subsequently arrested a total of five people in connection with the kidnapping case.
The investigation is underway to establish the exact role of each accused and determine the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping and the Rs 50 lakh ransom demand.
