पुलिस ने यह कार्रवाई तकनीकी साक्ष्यों, मैनुअल इनपुट और CEIR पोर्टल की मदद से की। बरामद किए गए मोबाइल फोन अलग-अलग थाना क्षेत्रों में चोरी, स्नैचिंग और मोबाइल गुम होने की शिकायतों से जुड़े हुए थे।

गाजियाबाद पुलिस के मुताबिक, Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) पोर्टल पर दर्ज शिकायतों के आधार पर नगर जोन की सर्विलांस टीम और थाना पुलिस ने कार्रवाई शुरू की।
सर्विलांस टीम ने तकनीकी साक्ष्यों और मैनुअल इनपुट के आधार पर अलग-अलग कंपनियों के 555 मोबाइल फोन बरामद किए। पुलिस ने बरामद मोबाइल फोन के IMEI नंबर और अन्य तकनीकी जानकारियों का विश्लेषण कर उनके वास्तविक मालिकों की पहचान की।

पुलिस के अनुसार, बरामद किए गए 555 मोबाइल फोन की अनुमानित कीमत करीब 1 करोड़ 55 लाख रुपये है। मोबाइल फोन बरामद होने के बाद तकनीकी टीम ने उनका गहन विश्लेषण किया।
IMEI नंबर सहित अन्य तकनीकी विवरणों के आधार पर मोबाइल फोन के वास्तविक स्वामियों की पहचान की गई। पुलिस अब इन मोबाइल फोन को उनके असली मालिकों तक पहुंचाने की प्रक्रिया में जुटी है।
