Ghaziabad, Bhojpur News: गाजियाबाद के भोजपुर थाना क्षेत्र में क्राइम ब्रांच और भोजपुर पुलिस की संयुक्त टीम ने मुठभेड़ के दौरान 10 हजार रुपये के इनामी लूट के आरोपी को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस की जवाबी फायरिंग में आरोपी के पैर में गोली लगी, जिसके बाद उसे उपचार के लिए अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया। पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपी के कब्जे से लूटा गया मोबाइल फोन, अवैध तमंचा, कारतूस और चोरी की मोटरसाइकिल बरामद हुई है।
भोजपुर में चेकिंग के दौरान पुलिस से हुई मुठभेड़
पुलिस के अनुसार, शुक्रवार 16 अक्टूबर 2026 को क्राइम ब्रांच और भोजपुर थाना पुलिस की संयुक्त टीम किल्हौड़ा बॉर्डर क्षेत्र में संदिग्ध वाहनों की चेकिंग कर रही थी। इसी दौरान हापुड़ की ओर से तेज रफ्तार में एक बाइक सवार युवक आता दिखाई दिया।
पुलिसकर्मियों ने युवक को रुकने का इशारा किया, लेकिन उसने बाइक मोड़कर भागने का प्रयास किया। इसी दौरान उसकी मोटरसाइकिल अनियंत्रित होकर फिसल गई। पुलिस का दावा है कि टीम को अपनी ओर आता देखकर युवक ने तमंचे से फायरिंग की। जवाब में पुलिस ने आत्मरक्षा में गोली चलाई, जो उसके पैर में लगी। इसके बाद पुलिस ने घायल युवक को हिरासत में लेकर अस्पताल पहुंचाया।
दिल्ली-मेरठ एक्सप्रेसवे लूट मामले में था वांछित
पुलिस पूछताछ के अनुसार, गिरफ्तार आरोपी की पहचान 22 वर्षीय राज उर्फ राजेन्द्र पाण्डे पुत्र अजय पाण्डे, निवासी न्यू कोंडली, थाना न्यू अशोक नगर, दिल्ली के रूप में हुई है।
पुलिस के मुताबिक, आरोपी 28 जुलाई 2026 को भोजपुर थाना क्षेत्र में दिल्ली-मेरठ एक्सप्रेसवे (DME) पर हुई लूट की वारदात में वांछित था। इस मामले में भोजपुर थाने में मुकदमा संख्या 142/2026, धारा 309(4) भारतीय न्याय संहिता (BNS) के तहत दर्ज किया गया था। वारदात के बाद से आरोपी फरार चल रहा था और उसकी गिरफ्तारी पर 10 हजार रुपये का इनाम घोषित था।
लूटा गया मोबाइल, अवैध तमंचा और चोरी की बाइक बरामद
पुलिस ने आरोपी के कब्जे से लूट में इस्तेमाल या बरामदगी से संबंधित जांच के दायरे में एक मोबाइल फोन, 315 बोर का अवैध तमंचा, एक जिंदा कारतूस, एक खोखा कारतूस और चोरी की यामाहा FZ मोटरसाइकिल बरामद करने की जानकारी दी है। बरामद सामान की भूमिका और संबंधित मामलों की जांच पुलिस कर रही है।
आरोपी पर पहले से दर्ज हैं कई मुकदमे
पुलिस रिकॉर्ड के मुताबिक, आरोपी के खिलाफ पहले से करीब आधा दर्जन आपराधिक मुकदमे दर्ज हैं। पुलिस उसके अन्य आपराधिक मामलों और बरामद मोटरसाइकिल से जुड़े तथ्यों की भी जांच कर रही है।
फिलहाल घायल आरोपी का अस्पताल में उपचार कराया जा रहा है। पुलिस मामले में आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई कर रही है।
Rewarded Robber Carrying ₹10,000 Bounty Arrested After Police Encounter in Bhojpur, Ghaziabad
Modinagar, Ghaziabad: A 22-year-old man wanted in a robbery case was arrested following a police encounter in the Bhojpur area of Ghaziabad on Friday, October 16, 2026. According to the police, the accused sustained a gunshot injury to his leg during retaliatory firing and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said a looted mobile phone, an illegal country-made pistol, ammunition and a stolen motorcycle were recovered.
Police Encounter During Vehicle Checking in Bhojpur
According to the police, a joint team of the Crime Branch and Bhojpur Police was checking suspicious vehicles near the Kilhauda border area on Friday. During the operation, a motorcyclist approached from the Hapur side at high speed.
When police personnel signalled him to stop, he allegedly attempted to escape by turning his motorcycle around. The bike subsequently skidded and became uncontrollable.
Police claimed that the suspect opened fire with a country-made pistol when the team approached him. The police then fired in self-defence, hitting the suspect in the leg. He was taken into custody and shifted to a hospital for treatment.
Wanted in Delhi-Meerut Expressway Robbery Case
The arrested man was identified by police as Raj alias Rajendra Pandey, 22, son of Ajay Pandey and a resident of New Kondli under the New Ashok Nagar police station area of Delhi.
According to the police, the accused was wanted in a robbery case reported on July 28, 2026, in the Bhojpur police station area along the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME). A case was registered under FIR number 142/2026 under Section 309(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Police said the accused had been absconding since the incident, and a reward of ₹10,000 had been announced for information leading to his arrest.
Looted Mobile Phone, Illegal Pistol and Stolen Motorcycle Recovered
Police said the recoveries included a mobile phone linked to the robbery investigation, a .315-bore country-made pistol, one live cartridge, one empty cartridge case and a stolen Yamaha FZ motorcycle.
The police are investigating the recovered items and their possible links to the robbery and other criminal cases.
Several Criminal Cases Registered Against the Accused
According to police records, approximately six criminal cases had previously been registered against the accused. Investigators are also examining his possible involvement in other cases and verifying details related to the recovered motorcycle.
The accused is currently receiving medical treatment. Further legal proceedings are underway, police said.
