मौसम विभाग के अनुसार, उत्तर-पश्चिम दिशा से सक्रिय पश्चिमी विक्षोभ इस बदलाव की मुख्य वजह है, जिसका असर पूरे प्रदेश में फैल रहा है।

UP Weather Alert: Weather conditions in Uttar Pradesh have changed suddenly since Tuesday morning. Signs of rapid weather changes are being seen in more than 50 districts including Agra, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Noida, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for rain, thunderstorms, and lightning for the next 48 to 72 hours, with western UP likely to be the most affected.
In districts like Agra, Aligarh, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Bulandshahr, and Saharanpur, strong winds (50–60 km/h) along with rain are expected. Some areas may also experience hailstorms.
In central UP, including Lucknow, Kanpur, Unnao, and Sitapur, the daytime will remain hot and humid, but thunderstorms with light to moderate rain are likely in the evening. Wind speeds may reach 40–50 km/h, leading to sudden weather changes.
According to the Meteorological Department, this shift in weather is mainly due to an active western disturbance coming from the northwest, which is spreading across the state.
People have been advised to stay alert and avoid unnecessary travel due to strong winds, lightning, and rainfall.
