दशहरा पर AK-47 से फायरिंग का वीडियो वायरल
दशहरा के दौरान राजनांदगांव पुलिस लाइन में शस्त्र पूजा के समय SP अंकिता शर्मा का फायरिंग करते हुए वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर सामने आया था। वीडियो में वह साड़ी पहने AK-47 से गोलियां चलाती दिखाई दे रही हैं। रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, उन्होंने इस दौरान लगभग 8 से 9 राउंड फायर किए।
वीडियो वायरल होने के बाद हथियार संभालने के तरीके और सुरक्षा नियमों के पालन को लेकर सोशल मीडिया पर बहस शुरू हो गई। इसके बाद पुलिस मुख्यालय की ओर से स्पष्टीकरण मांगे जाने की खबर सामने आई।
पूर्व लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल KJS ढिल्लों ने उठाए सुरक्षा संबंधी सवाल
भारतीय सेना के पूर्व लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल KJS ढिल्लों ने भी वायरल वीडियो पर सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म X पर पोस्ट के जरिए हथियार संभालने और फायरिंग के दौरान सुरक्षा प्रक्रियाओं के पालन पर आपत्ति जताई।
उनका कहना था कि लोडेड हथियार का इस्तेमाल करते समय निर्धारित सुरक्षा नियमों का पालन करना बेहद जरूरी है। उन्होंने वीडियो में दिखाई देने वाली गतिविधियों के संबंध में आठ बिंदुओं में संभावित खामियों की ओर ध्यान दिलाया। हालांकि, इन टिप्पणियों को आधिकारिक जांच के निष्कर्ष के रूप में नहीं देखा जाना चाहिए।
IG अजय यादव बोले- जवाब के बाद होगी कार्रवाई
राजनांदगांव रेंज के IG अजय यादव के मुताबिक, संबंधित अधिकारी से जवाब मिलने के बाद मामले को नियमानुसार देखा जाएगा। पुलिस मुख्यालय की ओर से मांगे गए स्पष्टीकरण और आगे की जांच के आधार पर अगला कदम उठाया जा सकता है।
फिलहाल मामले में जांच के अंतिम निष्कर्ष और किसी संभावित अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की आधिकारिक पुष्टि सामने आना बाकी है।
पूर्व DGP ने कहा- पहले शस्त्र पूजा होती थी, फायरिंग नहीं
छत्तीसगढ़ के पूर्व DGP डीएम अवस्थी ने भी शस्त्र पूजा के दौरान पुलिस अधिकारियों की ओर से फायरिंग किए जाने की परंपरा पर सवाल उठाए। उनके अनुसार, पुलिसकर्मी निर्धारित फायरिंग रेंज में अभ्यास करते हैं या कानून-व्यवस्था की स्थिति में जरूरत पड़ने पर हथियारों का इस्तेमाल करते हैं।
उन्होंने कहा कि पहले पुलिस लाइन में शस्त्र पूजा के दौरान केवल पूजा की जाती थी, फायरिंग नहीं होती थी। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि यदि पुलिस मुख्यालय ने इस संबंध में कोई नया निर्देश जारी किया है, तो इसकी जानकारी उन्हें नहीं है।
अंकिता शर्मा के समर्थन में आए भाजपा विधायक और संत
इस विवाद के बीच भाजपा विधायक रिकेश सेन ने सोशल मीडिया पर अंकिता शर्मा का समर्थन किया। उन्होंने महिलाओं का मनोबल बढ़ाने की बात कही। आचार्य अवधेशानंद गिरि ने भी अंकिता शर्मा के समर्थन में अपनी प्रतिक्रिया दी।
मामले में आगे की स्थिति पुलिस मुख्यालय के स्पष्टीकरण, जांच और अधिकारियों के आधिकारिक बयानों पर निर्भर करेगी।

Former Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon Raises Safety Concerns
Former Indian Army Lieutenant General KJS Dhillon also criticised the weapon handling visible in the video. In a post on X, he highlighted what he described as several safety and handling concerns, including the direction in which the weapon was pointed and the presence of people nearby.
His comments listed multiple alleged lapses in firearm-handling procedures. These observations, however, are commentary on the video and should not be treated as the findings of an official investigation.
IG Ajay Yadav Confirms Notice
Rajnandgaon Range Inspector General Ajay Yadav confirmed that an explanation had been sought from the SP following directions from Police Headquarters. Her response is expected to be forwarded to senior officials for consideration.
The notice is part of the official process for seeking an explanation. It does not, by itself, establish that a disciplinary violation has been conclusively proven.
Former DGP Questions Firing During Weapon Worship
Former Chhattisgarh Director General of Police D.M. Awasthi also questioned the practice of firing weapons during Shastra Puja ceremonies. He said that police personnel generally practise firing at designated ranges or use firearms when required for law-and-order duties.
According to his remarks, the traditional ceremony involved worshipping weapons rather than firing them. He also said he was not aware of any new Police Headquarters directive introducing such a practice.
Political and Religious Figures Extend Support
Amid the controversy, BJP MLA Rikes h Sen publicly expressed support for Ankita Sharma, saying that women should be encouraged rather than discouraged. Acharya Avdheshanand Giri also reportedly voiced support for her.
