मोदीनगर। गाजियाबाद के मोदीनगर थाना क्षेत्र में चोरी की एक बड़ी वारदात सामने आई है। गोविंदपुरी चौकी क्षेत्र की वैशाली एन्क्लेव की गली नंबर-4 में शुक्रवार देर रात एक चोर मकान में घुस गया और करीब एक लाख रुपये की नकदी व सोने के आभूषण चोरी कर फरार हो गया। परिवार के अनुसार, चोरी हुए सामान की कुल कीमत करीब 10 से 12 लाख रुपये है। चोरी की वारदात सामने वाले मकान में लगे CCTV कैमरे में कैद हो गई है।
आईजीएल गैस पाइपलाइन के सहारे घर में घुसा चोर
परिजनों के मुताबिक, घटना रात करीब 1:30 बजे की है। परिवार के सभी सदस्य मकान के ऊपरी कमरे में सो रहे थे। इसी दौरान एक संदिग्ध व्यक्ति गली में घूमता हुआ मकान के पास पहुंचा।
बताया जा रहा है कि आरोपी ने मौके का फायदा उठाकर आईजीएल गैस पाइपलाइन का सहारा लिया और दीवार पर चढ़कर मकान के ऊपरी हिस्से में प्रवेश किया। इसके बाद उसने घर के अंदर रखी नकदी और सोने के आभूषण चोरी कर लिए।
करीब 10 से 12 लाख रुपये का सामान चोरी
परिवार ने बताया कि चोर घर से करीब एक लाख रुपये की नकदी के अलावा सोने के आभूषण लेकर फरार हुआ। परिजनों के अनुसार, चोरी किए गए सामान की कुल कीमत करीब 10 से 12 लाख रुपये है।
वारदात के बाद आरोपी ने घर में लगे CCTV कैमरों को भी निकालकर अपने साथ ले लिया। माना जा रहा है कि आरोपी ने अपनी पहचान छिपाने के लिए ऐसा किया, लेकिन सामने वाले मकान पर लगे CCTV कैमरे में उसकी गतिविधियां रिकॉर्ड हो गईं।
CCTV फुटेज में कैद हुई पूरी वारदात
सामने वाले मकान के CCTV फुटेज में आरोपी पहले गली में घूमता हुआ दिखाई दे रहा है। इसके बाद वह मकान के पास पहुंचता है और आईजीएल पाइपलाइन के सहारे दीवार पर चढ़कर घर में दाखिल होता हुआ नजर आता है।
CCTV फुटेज सामने आने के बाद पुलिस के लिए आरोपी की पहचान और गिरफ्तारी की दिशा में अहम सुराग मिलने की उम्मीद है।
पुलिस जांच में जुटी, कॉलोनी में दहशत
घटना की जानकारी मिलने के बाद पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और मामले की जांच शुरू कर दी। पुलिस CCTV फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपी की पहचान करने का प्रयास कर रही है।
वहीं, चोरी की घटना के बाद वैशाली एन्क्लेव के लोगों में दहशत का माहौल है। स्थानीय लोगों का कहना है कि क्षेत्र में लगातार चोरी की घटनाओं के कारण सुरक्षा को लेकर चिंता बढ़ रही है। कॉलोनीवासियों ने पुलिस से रात के समय गश्त बढ़ाने और CCTV फुटेज के आधार पर आरोपी को जल्द गिरफ्तार करने की मांग की है।
Modinagar House Theft: Thief Steals Cash and Gold Worth Up to Rs 12 Lakh, CCTV Captures Incident
Modinagar: A major theft incident has been reported in the Modinagar police station area of Ghaziabad, where a thief allegedly entered a house in Gali No. 4 of Vaishali Enclave, under the Govindpuri police outpost, late Friday night and escaped with cash and gold jewellery.
According to the family, the thief stole around Rs 1 lakh in cash and gold jewellery, with the total value of the stolen property estimated at around Rs 10 lakh to Rs 12 lakh. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed at a house opposite the targeted property.
Thief Entered House Using IGL Gas Pipeline
According to the family, the incident took place at around 1:30 am, when all family members were sleeping in an upper room of the house.
The suspect was reportedly seen roaming around the lane before approaching the house. He allegedly used an IGL gas pipeline to climb the wall and enter the upper portion of the house before carrying out the theft.
The thief then allegedly took cash and gold jewellery kept inside the house and fled from the spot.
CCTV Camera Captures Suspect
The family said the accused also removed and took away the CCTV cameras installed inside the house, apparently in an attempt to prevent his identity from being established.
However, the suspect’s movements were captured by a CCTV camera installed at a house opposite the property.
The footage reportedly shows the suspect first walking around the lane before approaching the house and climbing the wall with the help of the IGL pipeline to gain entry.
Police Begin Investigation
After receiving information about the incident, police began investigating the case. Officers are examining the CCTV footage to identify the suspect and trace his movements.
The theft has caused concern among residents of Vaishali Enclave, with locals reportedly expressing anger over security arrangements in the area.
Residents have urged the police to increase night patrolling in the locality and arrest the accused at the earliest with the help of the CCTV footage.
