Sambhal Acid Attack Case : उत्तर प्रदेश के संभल से एक बेहद ही सनसनीखेज मामले में अदालत ने ऐतिहासिक फैसला सुनाया है. सदर कोतवाली क्षेत्र में पति सोते समय तेजाब डालकर उसकी आंखों की रोशनी छीनने और चेहरा झुलसाने के जुर्म में पत्नी कहकशां को उम्रकैद (आजीवन कारावास) की सजा सुनाई गई है. संभल कोर्ट ने सोमवार को इस मामले में फैसला सुनाते हुए दोषी महिला पर 1.75 लाख रुपये का भारी-भरकम आर्थिक जुर्माना भी लगाया है. करीब एक साल से ज्यादा चले इस केस में कुल 10 गवाहियां/सुनवाइयां हुईं, जिसके बाद अपर जिला जज गोपाल ने कहकशां को दोषी करार दिया.
प्रेमी के साथ आपत्तिजनक हालत में देख लिया था, इसलिए रची साजिश
यह पूरा मामला 7 मार्च, 2025 का है. बिजनौर के नगीना की रहने वाली कहकशां (30) ने साल 2019 में मुजफ्फर अली (35) से लव मैरिज की थी. मुजफ्फर मजदूरी करके परिवार चलाता था और दोनों के दो छोटे बच्चे भी हैं. शादी के बाद कहकशां का पड़ोस के ही एक युवक से अवैध संबंध (अफेयर) शुरू हो गया. घटना वाले दिन सुबह करीब 6 बजे मुजफ्फर ने अपनी पत्नी कहकशां को उसके प्रेमी के साथ घर के अंदर ही आपत्तिजनक हालत में पकड़ लिया था. मुजफ्फर के शोर मचाने पर प्रेमी तो धक्का मारकर भाग गया, लेकिन पति-पत्नी के बीच भारी विवाद हुआ. इसके बाद मुजफ्फर अपने कमरे में सोने चला गया.
सोते समय चेहरे पर उड़ेल दिया तेजाब, दिल्ली में 6 महीने चला इलाज
मुजफ्फर के सोने का फायदा उठाकर कहकशां बाजार गई और तेजाब खरीद लाई. उसने सोते हुए मुजफ्फर के चेहरे और आंखों पर तेजाब उड़ेल दिया. जब वह जान बचाने के लिए भागा, तो कहकशां बाल्टी में तेजाब लेकर उसके पीछे दौड़ी और दोबारा तेजाब फेंका. इस भयानक हमले में न सिर्फ मुजफ्फर का चेहरा, बल्कि उसका कंधा और पेट का हिस्सा भी गंभीर रूप से झुलस गया और उसकी दोनों आंखों की रोशनी हमेशा के लिए चली गई. पड़ोसियों की मदद से उसे जिला अस्पताल और फिर दिल्ली के सफदरजंग हॉस्पिटल रेफर किया गया, जहाँ करीब 6 महीने तक उसका इलाज चला.
तेजाब फेंकने से एक दिन पहले खाने में दिया था जहर
विशेष लोक अभियोजक नरेंद्र कुमार यादव ने कोर्ट के सामने एक और चौंकाने वाला खुलासा किया. उन्होंने बताया कि तेजाब हमले से ठीक एक दिन पहले यानी 6 मार्च, 2025 को कहकशां ने अपने भाइयों (मोहम्मद अहमद, इरफान, मोहसिन) और सास महरुन्निशा के साथ मिलकर मुजफ्फर अली को खाने में जहर देकर मारने की कोशिश भी की थी. हालांकि, उस समय पति ने लोक-लाज के डर से कोई FIR दर्ज नहीं कराई थी.
कोर्ट में फूट-फूटकर रोई दोषी पत्नी, वकील बोलीं- “ऊपरी अदालत जाएंगे”
सोमवार को कोर्ट रूम में जैसे ही जज ने उम्रकैद का फैसला सुनाया, दोषी कहकशां फूट-फूटकर रोने लगी. वह अपना चेहरा छिपाकर महिला कांस्टेबल के साथ जेल वैन की तरफ बढ़ी. वहीं, दूसरी ओर पीड़ित मुजफ्फर अली भी अपनी मां के साथ कोर्ट आया था, जिसका चेहरा तेजाब से बुरी तरह झुलसने के कारण तौलिए से ढका हुआ था. कहकशां की वकील पिंकी शर्मा ने इस फैसले पर असंतोष जताते हुए कहा कि यह लव मैरिज करने की सजा मिली है और पुलिस की इस थ्योरी व देरी से दर्ज केस के खिलाफ वे ऊपरी अदालत (हाईकोर्ट) में अपील करेंगे.

A wife named Kehkasha has been sentenced to life imprisonment (rigorous life imprisonment) for throwing acid on her husband while he was asleep, destroying his eyesight, and severely burning his face in the Sadar Kotwali area. While pronouncing the judgment on Monday, the Sambhal Court also imposed a heavy financial penalty of 1.75 lakh rupees on the convicted woman. In this case, which lasted for more than a year, a total of 10 hearings/testimonies took place, after which Additional District Judge Gopal found Kehkasha guilty.
Hatched a Conspiracy After Being Caught in a Compromising Position with Paramour
The entire incident dates back to March 7, 2025. Kehkasha (30), a resident of the Nagina area in Bijnor, had a love marriage with Muzaffar Ali (35) in the year 2019. Muzaffar worked as a laborer to support the family, and the couple has two young children. Following the marriage, Kehkasha developed an illicit relationship (affair) with a youth living in the neighborhood. On the day of the incident, at around 6:00 AM, Muzaffar caught his wife Kehkasha in a compromising position with her lover inside the house. When Muzaffar raised an alarm, the lover pushed him away and fled. This led to a heated argument between the husband and wife, after which Muzaffar went to sleep in his room.
Poured Acid on Face While Asleep; Underwent Treatment in Delhi for 6 Months
Taking advantage of Muzaffar being asleep, Kehkasha went to the market and purchased acid. She then poured the acid onto Muzaffar’s face and eyes as he slept. When he ran to save his life, Kehkasha chased him with a bucket full of acid and threw it on him again. In this horrific attack, not only was Muzaffar’s face disfigured, but his shoulder and parts of his stomach were also severely burned, and he lost the eyesight in both of his eyes permanently. With the help of neighbors, he was rushed to the district hospital and was subsequently referred to the Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, where he underwent treatment for nearly 6 months.
Poisoned the Food a Day Before the Acid Attack
Special Public Prosecutor Narendra Kumar Yadav made another shocking revelation before the court. He stated that just a day before the acid attack—on March 6, 2025—Kehkasha, along with her brothers (Mohammad Ahmad, Irfan, Mohsin) and her mother-in-law Mehrunisha, had attempted to kill Muzaffar Ali by mixing poison into his food. However, at that time, the husband did not lodge an FIR out of fear of social embarrassment.
Convicted Wife Wept Bitterly in Court; Lawyer Says, “Will Move Higher Court”
On Monday, as soon as the judge pronounced the life sentence in the courtroom, the convict Kehkasha broke down and wept bitterly. She then covered her face and walked toward the jail van accompanied by a female constable. On the other hand, the victim, Muzaffar Ali, had also arrived at the court with his mother, keeping his face covered with a towel due to the severe acid burns. Expressing dissatisfaction with the verdict, Kehkasha’s lawyer, Pinki Sharma, alleged that her client was being punished for having a love marriage. She stated that they would appeal against the police’s theory and the delay in registering the case in a higher court (High Court).
