Modinagar Liquor Smuggling : गाजियाबाद के मोदीनगर क्षेत्र में थाना निवाड़ी पुलिस ने “ऑपरेशन प्रहार” के तहत बड़ी कार्रवाई करते हुए शराब और गांजा तस्करी करने वाले तीन आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने कनन ग्रीन सोसाइटी स्थित एक किराये के फ्लैट पर छापा मारकर भारी मात्रा में हरियाणा मार्का शराब और गांजा बरामद किया। इस कार्रवाई के बाद इलाके में हड़कंप मच गया।
किराये के फ्लैट से मिली अवैध शराब और गांजा
पुलिस के अनुसार गिरफ्तार आरोपियों की पहचान हिमांशु कुमार, अनमोल और मनीष कुमार निवासी मोकामा, पटना (बिहार) के रूप में हुई है। स्वाट टीम और निवाड़ी पुलिस ने फ्लैट की तलाशी के दौरान 94 बोतल हरियाणा मार्का ब्लेंडर प्राइड शराब, 739 ग्राम गांजा, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कांटा और नकदी बरामद की। पुलिस को सूचना मिली थी कि फ्लैट में संदिग्ध गतिविधियां चल रही हैं, जिसके बाद दबिश देकर कार्रवाई की गई।
हरियाणा से शराब, बिहार से गांजा लाकर यूपी में बेचते थे आरोपी
पूछताछ में आरोपियों ने खुलासा किया कि बिहार में शराबबंदी का फायदा उठाकर वे हरियाणा से सस्ती शराब खरीदकर बिहार में ऊंचे दामों पर बेचते थे। वहीं बिहार से गांजा लाकर यूपी में छोटी-छोटी पुड़ियों में सप्लाई करते थे। आरोपियों ने बताया कि हिमांशु पहले मोदीनगर में रह चुका था, इसलिए इलाके की अच्छी जानकारी होने के कारण इसी क्षेत्र को तस्करी के लिए चुना गया।
10 दिन पहले शुरू किया था कारोबार, पुलिस ने दर्ज किया मुकदमा
पुलिस जांच में सामने आया कि आरोपी करीब 10-15 दिन पहले ही मोदीनगर आए थे और ब्रोकर के जरिए फ्लैट किराये पर लिया था। इसके बाद साहिबाबाद से ऑनलाइन सेल्फ ड्राइव कार लेकर मुरथल हरियाणा से शराब खरीदकर लाए थे। पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ आबकारी अधिनियम और NDPS एक्ट के तहत मुकदमा दर्ज कर आगे की कानूनी कार्रवाई शुरू कर दी है।

Modinagar Liquor Smuggling : In a major crackdown under “Operation Prahar,” Nivadi police in Ghaziabad’s Modinagar area arrested three accused involved in liquor and ganja smuggling. Police raided a rented flat in Kanan Green Society and recovered a huge quantity of Haryana-marked liquor and ganja. The action created panic in the area.
Illegal Liquor and Ganja Recovered From Rented Flat
According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Himanshu Kumar, Anmol, and Manish Kumar, residents of Mokama, Patna (Bihar). During the raid, the SWAT team and Nivadi police recovered 94 bottles of Haryana-marked Blender’s Pride liquor, 739 grams of ganja, an electronic weighing machine, and cash from the flat. Police had received information about suspicious activities taking place in the apartment, following which the raid was conducted.
Accused Smuggled Liquor From Haryana and Ganja From Bihar
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were taking advantage of the liquor ban in Bihar by purchasing cheap liquor from Haryana and selling it in Bihar at higher prices. They also brought ganja from Bihar and supplied it in small packets across Uttar Pradesh for profit. The accused said that Himanshu had previously lived in Modinagar, so they chose the area due to his familiarity with the locality.
Illegal Business Started Just 10 Days Ago, Case Registered
Police investigation revealed that the accused had arrived in Modinagar around 10–15 days ago and rented the flat through a broker. They later hired a self-drive car online from Sahibabad and brought liquor from Murthal, Haryana. Police have registered a case against the accused under the Excise Act and NDPS Act and initiated further legal action.
