मोदीनगर। सार्वजनिक रास्ते पर बन रही सीसी रोड और नालियों के निर्माण को लेकर चल रहे विवाद के बीच उत्तर प्रदेश उद्योग व्यापार मंडल के मेरठ मंडल अध्यक्ष के साथ उनके हरमुखपुरी स्थित आवास पर मारपीट करने और जान से मारने की धमकी देने का आरोप लगाया गया है। घटना के बाद व्यापार मंडल के पदाधिकारियों और कार्यकर्ताओं में नाराजगी है। संगठन ने पुलिस से मामले में रिपोर्ट दर्ज कर आरोपियों के खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की मांग की है।
निर्माण कार्य को लेकर हुआ विवाद
व्यापार मंडल की ओर से पुलिस को दिए गए शिकायती पत्र के अनुसार, 9 सितंबर 2026 को कुछ लोग हरमुखपुरी स्थित मेरठ मंडल अध्यक्ष के आवास पर पहुंचे। आरोप है कि सार्वजनिक रास्ते पर बन रही सीसी रोड और नालियों के निर्माण में अवरोध उत्पन्न करने को लेकर वहां विवाद शुरू हो गया।
शिकायत के मुताबिक, विवाद के दौरान मेरठ मंडल अध्यक्ष के साथ बदसलूकी और मारपीट की गई। इसके अलावा उन्हें जान से मारने की धमकी देने का भी आरोप लगाया गया है।
माता-पिता से भी अभद्रता का आरोप
बताया गया कि विवाद और शोर सुनकर अध्यक्ष के माता-पिता भी मौके पर पहुंचे। आरोप है कि उनके साथ भी गाली-गलौज और अभद्रता की गई।
घटना के बाद पीड़ित परिवार में भय का माहौल बताया जा रहा है। परिवार ने अपनी जान-माल की सुरक्षा को लेकर भी चिंता जताई है।
व्यापारियों में नाराजगी
व्यापार मंडल के पदाधिकारियों ने कहा कि मेरठ मंडल अध्यक्ष लगातार व्यापारियों की समस्याओं को प्रमुखता से उठाते हैं और सामाजिक गतिविधियों में भी सक्रिय रहते हैं। उनके साथ हुई कथित मारपीट की घटना को लेकर संगठन के कार्यकर्ताओं में रोष है।
निष्पक्ष जांच और सुरक्षा की मांग
समस्त व्यापार मंडल कार्यकर्ताओं ने पुलिस अधिकारियों से मामले की निष्पक्ष जांच कर आरोपियों के खिलाफ जल्द रिपोर्ट दर्ज करने और कड़ी कानूनी कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है। इसके साथ ही पीड़ित परिवार को सुरक्षा उपलब्ध कराने की भी मांग की गई है।
Modinagar Traders’ Body President Alleges Assault, Seeks Police Action
Modinagar: The Meerut divisional president of the Uttar Pradesh Udyog Vyapar Mandal has allegedly been assaulted and threatened with death at his residence in Harkampuri, Modinagar, amid a dispute over the construction of a concrete road and drains on a public pathway.
The incident has triggered anger among office-bearers and workers of the traders’ organisation, who have demanded that police register a case and take strict action against those accused.
Dispute Over Road and Drain Construction
According to a complaint submitted to the police by the traders’ organisation, some people reached the Meerut divisional president’s residence in Harkampuri on September 9, 2026.
The complaint alleges that an argument broke out over alleged obstruction in the construction of a concrete road and drains being developed on a public pathway.
During the dispute, the traders’ body president was allegedly abused and assaulted. He was also allegedly threatened with death, according to the complaint.
Parents Also Allegedly Misbehaved With
The complaint further states that the president’s parents reached the spot after hearing the noise and commotion.
They too were allegedly subjected to abusive language, misbehaviour and verbal harassment during the incident.
Following the incident, the family reportedly expressed concern about their safety and security.
Traders Express Anger
Office-bearers of the traders’ organisation said the Meerut divisional president regularly raises issues concerning the business community and is also socially active.
The alleged incident has led to resentment among members and workers of the organisation, who have called for prompt police action.
Traders Demand Investigation and Security
Members of the traders’ organisation have urged police officials to conduct a fair investigation, register a case against the accused at the earliest and take strict legal action.
They have also sought security for the affected family, citing concerns over their safety.
